About Kcell company

Kcell* JSC is a member of the Telia Company, the largest Scandinavian telecommunication holding. The company was established in 1998 and provides services of mobile communication under the Kcell brand which is mainly aimed at the B2B segment and under the Activ brand which is focused on the mass segment. As of December 31, 2017, the subscriber base of the Kcell was more than 10 million people.

The Kcell Company renders services of communication in the GSM standard (900/1800), UMTS/WCDMA (2100 MHz), LTE (4G), LTE Advanced (700/800 MHz and 1700/1800 MHz).

In 2016 the Kcell started development of the 4G/LTE commercial network, and at the end of 2017 already 49% of population of the country was covered by the 4G/LTE services. The company also provides access to the range of entertaining OTT-services of mobi (mobi TV, mobi music, mobi press, mobi kino, Bookmate). Based on the results of 2017 more than half of a million subscribers of the company have become users of these services.

One of the key directions of the Kcell is development of the business-market segment. The company offers individual and package business solutions for the clients from different segments and fields, as well as approach with clearly defined processes of delivery and servicing. In the portfolio of business solutions for B2B clients there are products on the basis of the Big Data, Internet things, M2M and mobile marketing.

Kcell Joint-Stock Company is the successor of GSM Kazakhstan Kazakhtelecom OJSC LLP. On August 27, 2012, GSM Kazakhstan Kazakhtelecom OJSC LLP was reorganized by transformation into a joint stock company, and the company name changed into Kcell Joint-Stock Company. On December 13, 2012, Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) started trading Kcell ordinary shares with the trading code of KCEL. And on December 17, 2012 the GDR trading began on the London Stock Exchange (LSE).
