Autodial

If the person you are calling is busy or his/her phone is switched off or outside the coverage area, the Automatic Callback service will help you reach him/her as soon as they become available.

Service allows subscribers to use the automatic callback (repeat dialing) feature. It is available to all Kcell, activ® subscribers by default and is activated when they are trying to reach other Kcell, activ® subscribers and the called number is busy or out of network coverage area.

Caller is charged at standard voice call rates for his/her plan.

Service is activated when the caller makes a standard outgoing voice call. If the called person is busy or unavailable, the caller will receive an IVR or Push USSD message offering to connect to the called person once he/she becomes available. If the caller agrees to use this feature and the called party becomes available within the next 2 hours, the service will automatically connect both subscribers.

If the called person has activated the Voice Mail or Always Available service, the caller will receive a Push USSD notification offering to automatically connect to the called person once he/she becomes available.

If the called person becomes available after 2 hours, he/she will receive a Missed Call Notification via SMS.

If the caller does not want to use the automatic callback feature, the called person will receive a voice call from the Service platform of 0.5 second duration once he/she is able to accept calls, provided, however, that the called person becomes available within the next 30 minutes after the call. In this case, the call sent from the service platform will appear on the called person’s phone as a missed call.

Successful connection to the called person will be charged based on standard outgoing call rates for the caller’s tariff.

If the called person becomes available after 30 minutes or more, he/she will receive a missed call SMS notification.

Terms

Caller has insufficient funds in his/her account to cover the outgoing call charge.

Called person is on the caller’s Black List (Call Filter service).

Called person’s phone is in the call waiting mode.

Call divert feature ‘when busy’ and ‘not available’ is enabled on the called person’s phone.

Called person is roaming. Caller is roaming.

Videocall

Video call service shall be activated on your mobile phone in case if your mobile phone and phone of the subscriber called by you support video call service and 3G format and are in the 3G network coverage.

While initiating a video call, after dialing phone number of the called subscriber select type of the call – voice or video.

While accepting a video call from other subscriber, accept the video call in case if you want to conduct a video call with the calling subscriber.

In case if you do not want to accept a video call, you have to cancel video accepting. In this case, you will see the subscriber calling to you, but he/she you will not see you.

Video call is accessible provided that you and the subscriber called by you are in 3G Kcell coverage.

If you do not want to use video call service, while calling from your mobile phone it is necessary to choose vocal call function.

Waiting mode

We are happy to inform you we have an answering device for the Call waiting, second line service.

With call waiting service, subscribers while being on another call will hear beep tones during 10 seconds to let them know that another call is coming in, see callers name and phone number and either answer the call or reject it.

A caller who has just dialed the number will not hear those ordinary beep tones but the answering machine message: "The number you call is busy. Please, wait or try again later". The answering machine is set to hear messages first in Kazakh then in Russian and English, which then are repeated in the same order.

This new feature will not only allow notifying a called party about another call that is coming in but inform the caller that he/she is on the second line.

Features

  • A subscriber can take the call that is coming in without disconnecting the previous one by pressing on 2.
  • To go back to the previous call that was put on hold, press again on 2.
  • In order to terminate a call, press Cancel or 1.
  • If the subscriber is not willing to take the incoming call, he/she should press on 0 and the caller will hear a busy tone..
  • To disable Call waiting, dial #43#.
  • To enable Call waiting again, dial *43#.

Charge

The Call waiting service is provided free of any charge to Kcell/Activ subscribers and is available on all tariff plans. An outgoing connection is charged according to the callers tariff plan based on the connection duration.

Always available

With Always Available service you will never miss a call. When your phone is turned off or you are out of the coverage area, your callers can leave voice messages for you. Whenever you get a voice message we will send you a SMS notification containing caller’s number, call date and time. If the caller leaves no voice message, you will be sent a Missed Call Notification via SMS.

Maximum duration of an incoming voice message – 30 seconds.

Your Voice Mailbox can store up to 10 messages at any given time. Voicemail messages are stored for 3 days, after that they are automatically deleted.

This service is available by default provided that Call Forwarding "if switched off or out of coverage area" is not enabled. If it is, the service will become available immediately after you cancel Call Forwarding.

Cost

Service is free for the called party.

Playing voice messages – 0 tenge* (to play, call 2002 or +77012002000). Roamers will be charged as per the rates applied by roaming operator to listen to the voice message.

Recording a voice message is charged at standard rates for the caller's plan. Caller may choose to leave a voice message for a Kcell/activ customer after listening to the notification message. If the caller does not hang up, he/she can leave a voice message after the tone; in this case the caller will be charged as per his/her price plan. If the caller hangs up before he/she hears the tone, the call will not be charged.

The Always Available service is not available to roamers whose phone is switched off or cannot be reached and who have call forwarding on no response. However, you can listen to the previous messages by calling +77012002000.

If call is made from other networks, the caller will be charged by his/her provider at standard rates starting from the moment a connection to the service is set up.

Activate:

  • Send a non-blank text message to 162.
  • Or dial *162*1#OK.

Deactivate:

  • Dial *162#OK.
  • Or by applying in writing for service deactivation in service points.

I am available!

With our I Am Back service those who called you while you were unavailable will be notified via SMS when you become available in the network.

The service is provided free of charge to Kcell, activ® subscribers that have activated ‘Always Available’ or ‘Missed Call Notification’ services.

Once the service is activated, those Kcell, activ® subscribers who have attempted to reach you while you were out of the coverage area or had your phone off will be notified via SMS that you are available in the network.

Activate:

Voice Mail

If somebody calls you and you cannot answer, now, using the service “Voice Mail"" you will never miss a call. Forward calls to the number of the voice mail (2000). Anyone who calls you will be able to leave a message after the greeting and audio signal. A short message will inform you on receipt of a voice message.

To set the Voice Mail, forward the calls to number 2000 by dialing necessary combinations:

  • To forward all incoming calls dial **21*2000#OK.
  • To forward calls when there is no answer dial **61*2000#OK.
  • To forward calls when the phone is switched off or is out of the coverage area dial **62*2000#OK.
  • To forward calls when the phone in busy dial **67*2000#OK.

Deactivate:

  • To cancel all types of call forwarding dial ##002#OK.

If the number of a Kcell or activ® subscriber is forwarded to a Voice mail, a voice message can be left after the greeting and an audio signal.

The maximum length of an incoming voice message is 120 seconds. Your mailbox can hold up to 20 voice messages.

Cost

  • Call forwarding to number 2000 – free.
  • Listening to messages (a call to 2000) – free.
  • Leaving voicemails. You will be charged to leave a voice message as per your price plan starting from the moment you are connected to this answering machine.

Conference

A service, giving a unique opportunity to people to communicate with several subscribers simultaneously. Each subscriber can keep conference with 5 other addressees.

Payment is effected by only the initiator of the call according to his/her tariff plan. For other participants of the conference the call is free.

Service is not available in roaming.

To involve the partner in conversation to the dialogue it will be required while talking with a subscriber to add him/her manually, using the settings of own phone (depending on the brand and model of the phone): “Functions → New call request”, then: “Function → To set up a conference”.

Depending on the brand and model of the phone, the principle of setting up of the conference may differ from the above stated.

Access-barred number identifier

Kcell will help its subscribers to find out the real number behind a hidden call. Subscribe to this service to see who is calling you!

With Hidden Caller Identification, during the incoming call you will be able to see the caller’s ID on the screen of your phone (all KZ numbers), hidden by #31#OK code.

Hidden Caller ID service is available for activation on all tariffs, except those which already include it.

Service is not available in roaming.

Some phones do not support the Hidden Caller Identification.

The service is provided if the subscription fee is charged successfully. The subscription fee is charged during service activation, and then the subscription fee will be charged only if there is enough amount on the balance (for prepaid subscribers) or the credit limit (for postpaid subscribers), otherwise, the fee will not be collected. When the account is topped up for enough amount, the subscription fee will be collected after 00:00 Astana time.

Last hidden number

To use the service, send a USSD-request *556#OK and choose from the menu "1. Yes" or send a direct request to *556*1#OK.

 

In view of technical features, the hidden number can be identified with a delay of up to 15 minutes. Therefore it is recommended to use this service upon expiry of 15 minutes following the call made from the hidden number.

The last hidden number can be identified within three (3) calendar days of receipt of the call from the hidden number.

The hidden number can be identified in case of successful or unsuccessful connection between the users, and if a Subscriber uses the services "Always Available", "Missed Call Notification", "I Am Available" and if the function "forwarding within the network" is set on a handset of a Subscriber.

In case of a successful identification of the hidden number at your request, the sent hidden number will be removed from the database of the service.

Service is available for Kcell prepaid subscribers.

No service is available in roaming.

Cost

  • Cost of a single identification of the last hidden number - 200 tenge.
  • Call is charged only when the service is delivered successfully.
  • Requests are sent at no charge.

Call forwarding

You may forward the received calls from your telephone:

  • to any other mobile phone of Kcell, activ® networks;
  • to all KZ networks;
  • to voice mail (2000); Notification on missed calls (2050);
  • to any city number (PSTN).

Types of forwarding

  • 21 - "Unconditional" – forwarding of all received calls (at the same time all other types of forwarding becomes invalid);
  • 67 - "Busy" – forwarding of a call when you are speaking over your mobile phone;
  • 61 - "No response" – forwarding of a call, when you are not taking the call;
  • 62 - "Beyond the service area" – forwarding of the call when you are beyond the service area or your telephone is off. It is possible to set calls forwarding at a mobile phone by direct dialing of the code and appropriate command.

It is possible to set calls forwarding at a mobile phone by direct dialing of the code and appropriate command:

  • insert the appropriate call forwarding code and press *
  • insert the telephone number to which you would like to forward your calls
  • press # and the key OK.

For example: to set forwarding "beyond the service area" to number +7701ХХХХХХХ please dial: *62*+7701ХХХХХХХ#OK; to set forwarding to a city number +77272ХХХХХХ please dial: *62*+77272ХХХХХХ#OK.

To cancel forwarding of calls:

  • press #; insert the call forwarding code, which you want to cancel; press # and OK.

For example, to cancel the function on the abovementioned number, please press: #62#OK.

To cancel all calls forwarding:

  • Dial #002#OK

To check the status of calls forwarding:

  • press *, then #
  • insert that code of calls forwarding, which you want to check
  • press # and OK.

For example, to check the current status of "beyond the service area" please press: *#62#OK.

At setting by a subscriber of the function of voice calls forwarding from own number Kcell, activ® to all KZ networks, in the coverage area of the Operator billing of a call will be as follows:

  • The receiving call subscriber shall be charged as for the outgoing call made to a number of a subscriber, who set the call forwarding function, according to his/her tariff plan.
  • A subscriber who installed the service of forwarding, this call will be charged at the cost of an outgoing call from the number, where a forwarding function has been set, to the number, where a forwarding function has been set, according to his/her current tariff plan.
  • The subscriber receiving a call to the number, where a forwarding function has been set, this connection will be treated as an incoming call, and will not be charged.
  • The forwarding service is also available when roaming. This being the case, billing of calls will be carried out as for incoming calls and for outgoing calls under the rules of billing in roaming in accordance with the tariff rates of the roaming partner.

Missed Call Notification

If your acquaintances or friends call you while you are not in the service zone or your mobile phone is switched off, the use of this service will enable you to know who has called you for the last 24 hours.

After you turn on your phone or get back in the network coverage area, you will receive a text message with a list of missed calls, caller ID as well as call date and time. To sign up to this service it will be required to set the function of call forwarding with the option "out of the coverage area or switched off" to number 2050 (settings vary depending on the phone model). The service may be deactivated in the same manner, i.e. by cancel of diverting to the number 2050. If the caller uses the Automatic Callback service and automatically connects to you once you become available, you will not receive a SMS notification of missed calls.

By using this service you will also enable the caller to use Automatic Callback service to connect to you automatically once you become available within the next 2 hours.

Activate:

  • To activate call forwarding option "busy" to the phone number 2050 press **67*2050#OK.
  • To activate call forwarding option "out of coverage/ phone is switched off" to the phone number 2050 press **62*2050#OK.

Deactivate:

  • To cancel the service dial ##002#OK.
  • To cancel the service under the “Out of the coverage area/phone is off” dial *162#OK. This command disables the service “Always available”.

Incoming Call Filter

«Incoming call filter» service allows You to manage Your own incoming calls and SMS: block by «Black» list, including hidden number calls, or allow by «White» list.

Also service allows You to set up forwarding of SMS from all or defined numbers. To do this, it is necessary to install an app for Android, iOS, Windows Phone or enter Personal cabinet through the computer and configure the rules for forwarding SMS in Black list settings for the numbers in the «Black» list.

 

«Black» list provides You the opportunity for setting block for incoming calls and/or SMS from specified numbers, and also for calls from hidden numbers.

«White» list provides opportunity for setting only those numbers from which you want to receive incoming calls and/or SMS.

«Black» and «White» may be defined in respect of the following communication services:

  1. Incoming voice calls and SMS;
  2. Incoming voice calls only;
  3. Incoming SMS only.

If blocked subscriber tries to call You, he/she will hear the short tones. Short tones may be replaced with Your own greeting message or, if the list is set up via mobile app or personal cabinet from computer, with one of standard network responses: busy, out of coverage or wrong number. Also, via mobile app or personal cabinet from computer it is possible to set up the receival for notifications on call or SMS sending attempts

All Kcell, activ® and subscribers may use the service.

The Service operates in roaming.

Any mobile, PSTN, inter-city and international numbers may be included into the Black and White lists.

The maximum admissible quantity of numbers in the Black and White lists amounts to 500.

The Service operates only if the number is identified correctly.

In case the Service is disconnected automatically due to lack of money, all numbers, included into the lists, are kept in the profile of a subscriber within 30 days.

In case the service is disconnected by a subscriber, the numbers, included into the lists, are removed, the subscriber’s profile is cleared.

Service does not apply to video calls.

In case the service is connected, the Black list automatically becomes active.

The active list is marked with adding of the word (act) after the name.

Attention! If you activated the White list and it is empty, then the incoming voice calls and SMS will be unavailable for you.

Call 2550 voice portal and record own greeting for blocked subscribers. Re-recording and removing of the greeting can be also done on the 2550 voice portal.

After recording and saving the greeting, it will be automatically activated and played for all blocked subscribers instead of ring tones.

The recorded greeting is not played if the called subscriber is in roaming. Managing the own greeting is not available in roaming.

Outgoing Call Filter

«Outgoing call filter» service allows You to manage Your own outgoing calls: block by «Black» list or allow by «White» list.

 

«Black» list provides You the opportunity for setting block for outgoing calls to specified numbers.

«White» list provides opportunity for setting only those numbers to which you want to make outgoing calls.

«Black» and «White» lists can work simultaneously after adding the numbers in both lists. In such case «White» list is of higher priority. For instance, to allow calls to predefined numbers only, it is necessary to add blocking of all numbers in «Black» list first using appropriate command and then add needed numbers in «White» list.

When try to call a blocked number You will hear a message on call barring. While in roaming You will hear short tones, in this case notification will be sent in SMS.

The «Outgoing call filter» service allows You to block calls to both standard numbers and paid short codes.

The Service operates in roaming.

Service is available to all activ and Kcell subscribers whose number is registered to a physical person.

The maximum admissible quantity of numbers in the Black and White lists amounts to 500.

When service is terminated by subscriber, all numbers on both lists are deleted and subscriber’s profile is emptied.

Service covers outgoing calls only.

The White and Black Lists cannot be used for SMS and MMS and other services.

  • Initially, subscription fee is charged automatically upon service activation.
